I don't think there needs to be scheduling plan for the managing experience you say. This game runs on real time, scheduling just will not go well with game system,  i think, though i agree with you that we need that kind of experience.  Maybe there could be visible achievement, reward, events or something for growth of idols? 

I totally agree that this game needs to have ultimate goal. Since this game is in development, that goal will be given sometime, i hope.
