Hey so I've read through the demo, and while I really liked it overall there was one big thing that I felt was a bit off. Apologize in advance if this is something already adressed later.

(Minor Spoilers Ahead)

So basically I found it very strange that like the MC's dad is apparently queerphobic enough that your brother is afraid to come out, but then is just completely fine with like using whatever the MCs prefered pronouns I guess.

Now I get not wanting to have a character constantly misgender the MC, and I guess it is technically possible, if unlikely, for someone to be homophobic but not transphobic, so I would be willing to just roll with it, if it weren't for this next bit.

Basically, at least to me, it kinda feels like it kinda implictly codes the MC as cis if they're a man or woman. Like if their nonbinary, you just gotta roll with it, there's no real way to think their cis, so you just gotta accept their dad is apparently extremely homophobic, but 100% okay using the MCs prefered pronouns. But like if you're playing as a character that goes by he/him or she/her, and you have a father whose a bigot, but then doesn't seem to have any sort of problem using your prefered pronouns/name, it kinda, at least to me, gives off the implication that your character is cis.

The only other much smaller thing is I'm kinda disappointed you can't like choose to not have a bunch of super expensive stuff. Like I wanna just play the family member that everyone hates, cause I always rock up in the my Honda Civic wearing the same $50 suit I bought 10 years ago at Target. But that's mainly personal preference, not really an actual problem or anything.

I realize it's probably too late to do much about it, with it coming out in just over 2 weeks but I still figured it couldn't to at least mention it. Better late than never and all that.

Other than that, like I said, really enjoyed what's there so far, and will definitely read the full thing when it's out.

Thanks for the feedback.

Not sure how to hide spoilers on here so (Minor Spoilers ahead)

To touch on your first observation, in this game, MC can try to build relationships with all the family members, MC can be a people pleaser and side with the family no matter what they do. Some will change their behavior based on MC's relationship with them and some will not.

Spoiler: Father is one of those who will not change his behavior towards MC. No matter MC's gender identity, Father will still be an ass.  If your bodyguard is a woman, Father will make remarks about that, and further in the story he even makes remarks about disowning MC, Cis, or Trans. All that to say that father is an ass, period. He makes it clear throughout the story that the only person he cares for is Benny. That is why Benny is the golden boy and beloved son, hence why Benny is also afraid to come out to his father.

I agree with the preferred pronouns bit, and I think there's a scene in the demo where MC is talking about their relationship with father, so I can certainly add an if statement saying that getting father to use MC's preferred pronouns was a small victory, and it only happened after relentless tries.

To touch on your second observation, MC is a billionaire, the prologue opens up with MC acknowledging that they are wealthy. I figured that there are enough games out there that let you play as someone without a dime to your name, so in this game, I wanted to allow the player to live the life of a billionaire. Just so you know, there are cheap options to choose from. Choices such as "Old limo" and "Renovated townhouse" are considered things of poor people in this world, those choices matter because they increase the "Modest" stats for MC, and having high Modest stats will affect your relationship with some of the characters. The amount of money in MC's bank also matters.

Also, the choices where you decide if you are a party animal or you had a DUI or you were making a deal, those choices also affect how the others see you throughout the game.

Again, thank you for playing.

For the first part, thanks a lot. I appreciate it.

For the second part I think I might have made my example a bit too hyperbolic and muddled my point. I get that the MC is supposed to be rich, I more was talking about like, conspicuous consumption, i.e. buying expensive things, not cause they're better quality or cause you like them better, but for the sake of showing off how much money you can afford to spend. It makes it hard to play a more modest character, or a character that doesn't really care about like appearing super wealthy, cause like sure you can pick a cheaper car or house, but then like you not only have to have a designer outfit for the funeral but the most expensive designer outfit.

Like I think the car options are a good example of what I mean. Like the 'modest' option is still a limo, which is really only something you buy to show people you can afford to be driven around in a limo. I honestly felt like the bike was a more modest option, cause that's is something I could much more see as something you'd purchase cause you genuinely wanted it, rather than just to go, "hey look at me, I can pay $1 million for a car then hire someone to drive me places".

Also, sidenote, if the cheapest house option is supposed to be a renovated townhouse, there's an error in the game, cause the options presented are a $95 million town house or an $18 Million renovated mansion.

Also in regards to spoilers, the answer is Itch doesn't have a way to hide spoilers in comments.
