Overall: Clear attention to detail on almost all fronts make this one of my favorite entries for this jam! A little on the long side but worth the playtime nonetheless.

Gameplay: Tried all three party members but ultimately went with Therese. Timing and blocking attacks made the battle system a lot more fun and essentially taking no damage throughout was a nice cherry on top. I always love on-map encounters, although it was pretty easy to avoid them even when noticed. Wasn't a big fan of the control scheme though so I remapped it to how RM games usually are. Much better on my fingers and less time moving my left hand all around the keyboard.

Definitely some issues though. I really wish there were a save prompt before the ascent or even in general. I didn't buy enough items or grind enough and I had to restart because autosave softlocked me in the mid-boss battle. The lack of AoE attacks as Therese was also a pain. I also noticed that some enemies live to a sliver of health after I land a few double-hit attacks on them. Would've like to see a slight nerf so they go down in an even number of blows and reward the player for executing those inputs right. I also feel like 8-directional movement would make gameplay a lot smoother.

Music: Music itself was pretty good but I'm bumping this up in terms of overall sound because of the ambience and especially the voice acting. All the voices were spot on. Didn't recognize the voice actors in the credits but they did a really good job!

Comedy: Good balance of serious and lighthearted and I liked the TBA silhouettes for overworld enemies. I also adore the goblin shop. Still in shock you actually included a Marsha cut take in the dialogue. Would've been really funny if you had another character play off that, like telling her to take her time or something. There's also Dragon Ball Z sounds which always get me.

Graphics: RTP and action sequences are nice and I love the ambient lighting. Unfortunately this did not play nice with my 11 year old desktop and it turned into huge white blobs that blocked the entire screen! We could be talking a completely different score if I didn't try my brother's laptop.

Story: Liked it. Thought it would end on a total throwaway ending for a second but I love how it wraps upl
