rpg maker can be used in various ways indeed :) , it does not need battles to make a game :)

I develop games on the Construct 3 engine, it is universal, but for each game genre you need to think about how to implement it. But the RPG Maker engine is already sharpened for the RPG game genre.
I understand, each engines is most suited for something than another :)
