It's great that you're adding elements from your own culture into your game. That will absolutely help make it feel more unique from other games. I love when indie creators put cultural references not derived from Japan, the U.S., or Europe in their work. I recently played "A Space For the Unbound", which was made by Indonesian devs, and it absolutely shows.

Also, I'm glad that we'll be seeing more of Kalia in the future after this current game. Your approach to worldbuilding is good, as well. It's smart to keep the scope of the first game small and slowly expand from there.

Much appreciated! I think there's a demand for more "exotic" settings in games which can be fulfilled by representation, both locally and globally.
I hope Kalia will have a good career as a character across multiple games, with each raising the bar over the previous, but you're very right in starting small. A frequent mistake among new devs is attempting to develop their magnum opus right from the beginning. In the grand plan, however, KatFS is merely a prologue to what's to come! :)
