Is it too expensive to have a team? Just to speed up the work.

I have a writing partner and have hired a coder, but they've only come in board mid last-build and are still working through my old stuff trying to improve it so for now it's just me doing all the production stuff for each update. Hopefully it'll speed up in the future.
