absolutely! It's interesting that Chainsawman, arguably the Devilman of the Reiwa era, takes such inspiration from this anime in particular and its villain
Honestly this anime is an obscure enough spinoff I'm not confident Fujimoto has seen it, but Makima definitely feels like some kind of Ryo Asuka for this generation, and she sure gives me something like the Ran Asuka Emotion.
