I tried to kill the cat by landing on him with my spaceship, but it softlocked me - the quest to capture him was left unfinished, and when I left, the game seemed to think I captured him. I was so sure that was the way to get him, too...
Heya! That's actually a creative (though rather sadistic) way to approach the objective XD We'll be taking this into account for sure ~
