OH MY ;\\\\; thank you!!! I'm glad that you really like the game even though it has those flaws ;\\\\;
This game is making me interact with lots of bug fellow lovers like me and I'm glad ;\\\\; bugs (the insects, I mean) are really fascinating!
Now I'm preparing the updates (writing this while uploading), I rewrote the puzzle again: visually it looks almost the same and now the hover while selecting works as intended. If it still gives the players problems though I will consider changing it completely, aesthetic and all ;w;"

PS I forgot to write about the audio, sorry! 
I think the problem is due to the quality of that specific soundfont, most of those were compressed mp3 tranformed into ogg, but that specific one is a pure ogg file and it sounds louder TwT but you can lower its volume on the main menu through the options like this:
Options > Volume SE > Set it to 20% (the minimum)I hope it helps ;w;
