Thank you for the review.
I do feel I need to stress that none of the assets were bought from any store whatsoever; all of them are freely available to any team participating. Otherwise this would be a violation of the jam rules. There are also more than a handful of custom made assets.

The appeal we had in mind was the search for items to combine, searching through both dimensions, whilst feeling the "pressure" from being hunted. Certain locations appear different in each dimension and so do the items you can find. So you really would have to switch between dimensions in order to survive.
Your feedback indicates this was not clear enough, so I reckon we could do with a better intro/tutorial on this front. That is good feedback, thank you.

We had better polish in mind concerning menu's and sound however, but we didn't make that for the deadline  unfortunately. There might be updates planned after grading is over, so who knows ;)

yeah, sorry, I should have phrased that "store-bought" differently. I neber wanted to imply that you didn't follow the rules, but rather that these massive pre-made assets where really prominent in the game and I am sure you worked your a**es off to match that quality with your own work - in that regard it feels like a double-edged sword to me, but that might be my personal take.
again, sorry if my comment came off as judgemental or something, playing all these different games give me a lot of things to think about in my own work and sometimes these thoughts go unfiltered into the comment section *monkeythathideshisfaceemoji*
