you have to delete save files related to much older versions, keep the newest save and copy all of your saves files and put it onto a flash drive to have incase.
you will then delete all other save files except the newest one, that should let the game open.

I apologize for the bug that prevents this game from starting. If this game doesn't have access to the files, it will not start. Also it may not start if pc don't have enough memory or if the GPU that does not support DirectX.
