Some keyboard don’t like it when you press multiple keys at once, could be that, or there is bigger bug that I have not found. Try remapping the keys on the options menu by pressing P, see if that helps
When developing it I initially had the automatic grab thing you mention, but end up removing it as I found it not as satisfying. I’m thinking it might be a good option as a accessibility setting.
