Hi there!
I am creating a collection of fully blind accessible games, and your game is listed under the "blind support tag".  The word "blind" means different things to different people, and within that wide spectrum their are various levels of expertise with visual UI's.  but as a fully blind gamer, I am wondering what features this game provides for those who can not see the screen at all.  Do you have "screen reader" or "text to speech" support?  Is your game fully playable with a keyboard or controller, rather than having to point the mouse at buttons on the interface? If the answer to those questions is no, it would still be great to know what options are provided for those with less severe visual impairments, so that I might make them aware of your game's usability for them.  Thank you for any information you can provide, it's very much appreciated! :)

Hi superfreq,

The mention of the game being Blind Friendly is because the RenPy platform natively has Self-voicing and ALT text for images. Reading through Self-voicing should be working properly, however, I have not provided ALT text for images.

So far I have not had the opportunity to talk to a fully blind player, if you believe the presence of the tag is inappropriate since the game only features Self-voicing I will do so.

Thank you for your personal interest!

Cheers,

Lustfer

Hey thank you for the reply and sorry for how long it took me to get back to you on this.
The self voicing is good but if the game doesn't have full keyboard support for all menus (not an issue for all blind people) if certain vital indicators aren't shown in text as well, if their are visual only puzzles ETC, then I'd say it probably shouldn't be on this tag no. Alt text is important as well of course, especially for really important images that convey necessary information. If it was just missing alt text for descriptive stuff I'd say this should still be on the tag but that should be worked on. But yeah if some of those more important things aren't there yet, I'd wait until you have a blind tester.
Try forum.audiogames.net, reddit.com/r/blind or rblind.com, or this discord server: https://discord.gg/c3rGEQFNs
You may be able to find a tester there. :)
