Yo! thanks for replying. Sorry in advance for dumping my thoughts on your comment section lol. Originally, my text was just supposed to be my opinion on the game (ik nobody cares, but not the point) but the jumpscare on the end of the game just reminded me of all the junk i wrote in the previous comment and i kinda just vented about it. I totally understand that not all games were made with the intent to be taken seriously, and a bunch of them on here are made on a short time (mainly games from jams, which are really cool events) and i should've taken it into consideration. The thing I said about it not having originality still stands, but for a game made in 16 hours, its a good game if you're bored and want a good laugh (i did laugh when grimace first appeared, lmao). Something that really would make a game way better than it is, is adding any kind of mechanic (even if its one used in a lot of games) besides walking and opening doors, even if its just a silly object you can interact with (Im not sure what exemples to give, srry), but i can't say much about it because i have no idea how coding works, how difficult it could be to do something like that or how much you're experiencied with it.
Lastly, the reason i think ending a game (horror or not) with a jumpscare is not a good way to end it, is because a jumpscare is just an "easy" way to scare someone, by having the character jump on the player, (which most of the times doesn't have any care or work put on, (depending on the game) and something that makes it worse is how overused it is, making it predictible when it does happen.
Please do not take anything I said to the heart (in a bad way).
Excited to see your next work/game :)
Thanks for reading and take care!
