will there be an easy mode in the next update? 

the criticism for this game is that it was way too hard and that you can't upgrade your character completely when you have a terrible health bar. and the fact that there is no easy difficulty is making it even worse. a good game, but it needs to have easy difficulty and the health bar needs to be upgraded a little bit so whenever you are at the normal difficulty or endless, it will at least make it even easier for you to upgrade your gear.

Well, the two wave based modes are not an accurate reflection of how difficult the actual game would be. The story mode should amp up the difficulty much more gradually and have a tutorial to clarify mechanics. Many players have reported not having a means to avoid attacks when the dodge makes you invulnerable to attacks. Other than that I'll add some form of invulnerability cheat as making an easy mode is a lot more work.

An invulnerability cheat is a good idea, but please don't make it a Patreon exclusive, because it wouldn't work with the game when you would keep on dying over and over. 

and will it be a god of war type of game? because god of war has an easy difficulty. All the god of war games do. god of War 1 is as hard as dark souls in the easy difficulty when you were progressing (they should have thought that through when they are making the game) but at least the other god of War games are better to beat through at least.


edit: make sure you get hit by half of a heart, not a full heart, because as you say the players messaging you, they can't upgrade the character fully and it makes the game into a dark souls rip off. and it wouldn't work in the game

and I have 2 requests. 

request #1: will you make the weapons upgradable, including the main weapon to add more damage? 

request #2: will you make your character bigger and bigger for the sake of inflation and weight gain?

No I don't intend on pay walling anything other than early access builds and artwork, I want to keep the game as accessible as possible. I can look into making the health system have half hearts though that would require me to redraw some assets and redo the code a bit. Alternatively I could keep the base health start at 5 hearts.

As for the two requests I don't intend on changing the damage values, just increasing numbers rather than changing gameplay doesn't really add much to the game. Take doom for example the weapons always have a fixed amount of damage, upgrades simply add new gameplay elements. For the second I have thought about adding more weight levels and spacing out the visual changes a bit more to make it more rewarding but right now that's not a priority. Once enemies, bosses and dungeons are all made these things can be added and addressed.

well it's good that you are not pay walling the invulnerability cheat, I just don't understand why some inflation games in itch.io have to be paywalled. wouldn't it make the game worse?


edit: I'm not talking about glut-tonne demon btw

I mean, if someone paywalls their game I can understand. It takes a lot of time to makes these things and if it doesn't keep the house running then you have to do something about it. Even now I have no idea if the time investment I've put into the game can be made worth it by the Patreon support. Hopefully, more people keep supporting so I can keep it free for everyone.
