We didn't see there was a theme for this jam. Just saw the 3h challenge and wanted to try it. One of our main mechanics is color, so we totally missed jam's theme. Of course we want to opt out of competition, so I'm hopping we can do that here.
No worries at all! This jam is supposed to be for you to have fun and be productive. The competition element is there to add a little pressure on trying to fit in the 3 hours, but the main thing is the process. We play all the games submitted and give feedback on stream even if it has taken longer or doesn't fit the theme.
