There are a lot of scenes in game with this mechanic actually. I like it to be honest, it means most people have different experiences based on the way their character are build.
I can understand that, it definitely makes the game have some replayability. I feel like this is a bit punishing for players who specialize in certain stats. Having to sit down and potentially click to eat 100 stat lowering cookies just to see this scene feels a bit silly xD
