Very well made, cool idea that fits the theme perfectly.
My only "issue" is that sometimes the same cutting patterns return over and over again so it's too easy to avoid if you just stay put. I recommend to add a mechanic which disables the same pattern from repeating itself (temporarily take the chosen pattern out of the list of possible patterns and return it after the next one has been chosen, and so on)
