itch has plenty of ways to hone creative outlets.
perhaps you might want to make a zine? game music? a reuseable asset for other developers? table top RPG feature or other boardgame mechanic?
don't rush in trying to do everything. you will accomplish very little, feeling overwhelmed and exhausted. I've been there.
try to focus on one small thing you feel would have long-term usefulness for your other projects.
There is no shortage of things that can be done! Can you design a better way of handling game dialogue trees? The awesome thing is that there are plenty of ways to work your idea than just programming. Perhaps you'd make your adventure into a 'gamebook' instead? (These were all the rage back when people didn't have access to computers.)
Addendum: I'm working on some small projects of my own for eventual upload to itch. Will they change the world? Heck no. But I believe the creations can be helpful.
