How strange!
I apologize that you've had to experience this issue.
I try my best to ensure that everyone has a bug-free experience, but sometimes odd things like this still occur.

The only thing I can suggest at this point is to manually remove the save data for the game.
The game's data file is kept in

C:/Users/USER-NAME/AppData/LocalLow/Zed_Technician/BewareTheShadowcatcher

You'll need to replace the USER-NAME with the name of your computer.
There will be a file named GameData that you'll need to remove.
Once it's gone, relaunch the game and a new save file will be created.

Doing this may not even solve the problem, but it's the only thing I can think of to try.

I apologize once more for the issue.

Ok. Thank you.

If that doesn't work, the only other thing I can do is suggest trying the 32-bit version of the game.
I keep an unlisted page that contains 32-bit versions TMFTW 1,  Shadowcatcher, and the Vermander Curse in one ZIP.
If you don't mind downloading the whole thing, then here it is:
Here

Will do. Thank you!

Sorry it's been such a long while, but I just tried both ways and I still couldn't pick up anything.
