I don't understand what you mean. If you're referring to the guidelines for Release Announcements, those are 1) specific to that category and 2) quality guidelines. The point is that creators should put an effort into their posts. If they can make a good-looking, informative announcement without images, more power to them. And there are many projects where it makes sense, for example some people publish music or text-based games. It's more that a lot of people make low-effort posts that don't say anything about their project.

Ah, ok. I was just trying to provide an idea on how to respond to it since I know it would probably take a lot off time of your hands. You make a good argument though, if this is actually implemented then text only games and music would count as exceptions, and high effort posts would also be considered as an exception
