You can endear yourself to Webster, Adam, Dillon, and Rocky - basically all of the thralls that can hold a conversation. You can tell they like you enough to intervene when they're more positive towards you in the conversation "root" page, or when you approach or leave. If you're having trouble getting there, if you say one or two positively received things to a thrall and then choose to wait with them, that'll make them like you enough to speak up.
