This was a pretty cool concept but didn't quite click for me. I think the best word would be inconsistent. I had to load the game 3 times to be able to place units, and then I could only select them to command sometimes. On my first game, 2 of my units got taken out right away, then my swordsman and the enemy's swordsman ended up stuck inside each other, my rogue meandered around, managed to backstab another rogue somehow, and then spent the rest of the game unable to move more than a foot at a time. Meanwhile I saw the enemy crossbowman spin around in a circle and then shoot his own man. He was shooting the 2 soldiers superimpsoed on each other, but they both died at the same time too so I had no idea what was going on. The controls didn't seem to work, as you can tell them to move, turn, and attack, but no indication of where they're going to move to, where they're going to turn to, or who they're going to attack. On another attempt I had 2 crossbowmen lined up to fight 2 rogues, ordered them to attack, and then they both turned to the left and fired offscreen.

The art's also pretty inconsistent, as it mixes hand drawn, simple geometric shapes, pixel art (though I think that's just a logo,) and what looks to be stretched clipart backgrounds. I mean, we're doing medieval skirmishes and the beach background has speedboats parked. What are we, larping? The text was also blown up and blurry, and the title screen has the text partially hidden by a mountain range. Not to be too negative, but this just didn't work. I don't know if I missed something or was doing something wrong, but I could not get my guys to do anything. It sounds like you're aware of the bugs and working on them and that's good because they're really holding this game back. It looks like it could be a fun strategy game if it worked right.
