Though the story did tell us what the situation was, they didn't seem all that invested in what looked like their impending doom emotionally. Sure they seem like a fairly practical lot by the way they talked, though the death of Ludd got down-played so much like he was just an extra on Star Trek. Did no one really miss him? Would be nice if they started to appear a lot more desperate as their air began to get less and less. Good tale otherwise.
