I had the same issue as LowkeyLifted. Maybe because I only took 1 ingredient from the garden...? It looks like a super fun game, but it just didn't seem to work as intended :(
major boo boo on my behalf. I was emending the tutorial text and forgot to mention you need to press "I" to open and close inventory and potion menu.
