Yeah, you are absolutely right. I didn't have time to calibrate the difficulty too much, so it's very non-forgiving currently. I will add some slow recovery of the irritation post jam.
Also there is this bug that sometimes the chest doesn't really open that you encountered. I will also address this in post jam version.
