I mean... if "keep politics out of video games!" is the occasional battle-cry from angry Gamers on social media, then where exactly does "trauma in video games" land on that spectrum?

This here is the very reason I think most games and the stories they can tell are severely limited. The notion that we cannot tell stories because of fear of it being politically or traumatically charged is ridiculous and should be written out. It's getting old.

We need more games that aren't afraid of going beyond the norm. This post is very valid, thank you for writing it.

I mean, that's what drives me to make art. To push the boundaries, to ask the hard and weird questions, and to make things no one else will make. However, the way I take on these topics, the themes I use, and how I portray them is a bit different. Sometimes people need to play multiple games to put clues together for my work. However, I think I may not be the right kind of 'creator' for this jam. The way I portray it and work through my own personal trauma is probably against the rules of the jam.
