This is a game that I think is massively held back by one issue: the wall jump controls. I don't know if I'm doing it wrong or misunderstanding or anything, since the game itself doesn't explain how the wall jump works (I wouldn't have even known there was a wall jump if it wasn't for the itch.io page). My general experience with wall jumps in other games is that I just need to hold towards the wall and then hit jump, simple enough. In this game though, doing that will just shuffle me an inch up the wall, doing effectively nothing other than wasting the jump. Instead I need to hold towards the wall, hit jump, and instantly stop holding towards the wall to get any height. For what seems to have been intended as a major game mechanic, this feels incredibly clunky and awkward.
If the wall jump didn't feel so bad to use, I think there'd be something worth playing, but as is I couldn't justify playing too much of it.
