Hello. Congratulations on the changes in the new version. Since I had not played since version 1.3, I have now tried the new deckbuilding combat mode. And I wanted to take the opportunity to leave some comments, saying in advance that I take into account that there may still be balance changes.
First of all, regarding bugs:
- With version 1.5.2 it still happens that an accessory disappears when changing costumes with fewer slots, although I don't know if it is related with a specific one.
- I have also found a bug with an overlaid image in the defeat scene in the bee hive area.
- In the Raising Ribs Valley area it sometimes happens that the action icon (space) appears on the tree after the bridge, and Saria appears on the door just below it.
- In Mios Hive, after losing for the first time to Doomglider and respawning at the rest point I was able to get through it without starting the fight. In successive fights (after resting), after the defeat scene with the tentacle, as soon as I ascended the rope the fight with Doomglider would happen again.
On the other hand, regarding the new suit system, my opinion is that by making some better than others (mainly due to greater stamina) and being able to obtain them relatively quickly, it happens that some are barely used. And I think it's a shame because I love the art and the idea of passive effects. In this sense, I think that one option may be to use a format similar to that of Team Fortress 2 with equipment. That is, one weapon offers advantages and disadvantages, but is not inherently better than another.
Also in this sense, right now I would say that card draw and initiative are the strongest factors by far, so accessories and suit effects that affect them also offer the greatest advantage. The attack type multiplier also seems a little unbalanced to me, possibly a flat bonus is preferable.
Taking ideas from Hearthstone, I can think of possible effects to use such as cards of a certain type having a benefit with a certain suit or accessory, the first card of a turn spending less initiative, attacks of a certain type doing more damage but consume stamina...
Anyway, I'm sorry for the tirade and the bad english. Cheers.
