I have multiple things to say about this game...
1. Right off the bat, the game has two clashing art styles. The pixel-based character, and the hand-drawn vector maps. This immediately decreases the general quality of the game.
2. The time mechanic doesn't play a vital role inside the game, which is fine, I guess, but I feel like it could have been incorporated more. It is like... making a high-speed object that you can't get by unless you pause time.
3. The collision... Since the levels themselves are hand drawn (with vector tools), the collision can be annoying since it is not a flat surface. A (somewhat) easier way to fix this is by adding some sort of hitbox system. Personally, I found it very easy to have a broadcast function for starting a collision check and ending one.
4. It feels like there is a lack of context/story. I would be fine with having any sort of detail in the description too. Why is this guy in the labyrinth? How does he have the power to stop time? What happened after they went through the two levels?
5. The lighting system is pretty generic BUT it works. The fact it isn't a perfect circle bugs me though...
And also, please don’t feel hurt or feel offended by the criticism I said. They are simply just my thoughts and opinions on the game. You can still work on the game (after the game jam of course) and maybe people will enjoy it more.
