Darwin's Ascent is a super neat, hand-made microgame that tickles your pixel art craving and makes you say "Weeeee"! 8/10!
So this game's art-style is a winner! It's cute, it's bright and I love it.
Great work on the simplicity of the narrative and game loop it's so simple anyone can pick it up and that ROCKS!
My favorited part about this game is the progression and for sure the first-time I hit a bomb, I chained like four in-a-row and was like "ANOTHER BOMB?! YEAH!" the whole time.
Last - your tech dev-log is a nice read and the real back-story for me! Great work on the rotation crate (rotating pixels is a common pain-in-the-butt). Your design and art skills combined are amazing, please keep it up.
Suggestion: Give Darwin a voice. Some cute dino feedback would suit this game perfectly!
