I played this game a few years ago, when I got it in the 2020 racial equality bundle. It still leaves a stark and haunting impression of me. The graphics and sounds and music and presentation are memorable and fun and make for a genuinely enjoyable experience. The story/content is....dark, and presented in a really investing way. It gives that same creeping, gnawing feeling you get when you do end up on some darker forums in the deep corners of the internet, witnessing strange and unsettling interactions taking place, knowing there's nothing you can do to help, and even just that glimpse before you quickly close the tab is enough to make you feel uncomfortable and unsettled for days. Except here, you're faced with the full story. Continuing forward, bearing witness, helpless. The finer details escape me for this comment, and I do intend to replay it, but nothing could take away the long-lasting, haunting impression this game has left on me. A definite recommend (with heed for the content warnings).
