Try restarting your mac, then open it, ignore the ''game stopped working'' or something, and press enter, I don't know if it's because of different settings, but I think I made my macbook allow me to open these types of games through a command, I think it's totally safe, so, try searching for a tutorial!

There’s a tutorial that helps you with a code in terminal that allows you to open games like these, it’s a short tutorial, straight to the point. Though if your Mac is updated to the last update, it shouldn’t be giving you much trouble. I can’t remember if this game required the command to open it, or not, but if it won’t open, and says something like “app downloaded from external blah blah blah can’t trust”, you can open it from the settings, privacy section, if you scroll, you should find an option that says “open anyway”.
