Just finished playing your game! I like the idea of a one hit durability system, I reckon it might also work really well in single screen dungeons.
I think a context where players can take in what the weapons and enemies are at a glance would let you design each fight like a puzzle, which could really highlight the mechanic and let you build on it in some crazy ways.
