If your device doesn't have a lot of RAM it seems the game causes a crash when it tries to load all the assets in the background. If it's happening when you're quite deep into the game then it might be a bug, it'd be nice to know when exactly it's happening.
Yes, that's an issue with lower end mobile devices, I believe, sorry about that. I'll have to implement a better way of managing loaded resources in the future but it's hard to optimize...
