I've been following the production of missing stars quietly for a decade now. Act 1 came out what, 3 years ago? And now it's going to be episodic.. I hate to say it but I've lost complete hope that this game will come out during my lifetime. You're just re-releasing act 1?

Don't get me wrong. I'd give an arm and a leg to have a finished missing stars, but I can't wait another /decade/. As someone with various mental illnesses, I was really looking forward to this, but production time seems to have slowed to a crawl.

I cant keep giving myself false hope that yall are gonna finish the game.

Best of luck, seriously.

Hey there,

We're sorry to hear that you're frustrated with our release schedule. Behind the scenes, Missing Stars has been through a lot of internal changes over the last decade of development. As a volunteer studio, we also get frustrated when we encounter setbacks or delays, but we do our best to make do with what we have. The recent COVID-19 pandemic saw most of us prioritizing our families and mental health, which definitely slowed us down a lot. This re-release is a means of getting our production back on track; we are confident in our ability to release more content much faster with the episodic release schedule.

We sincerely hope that you continue to follow the development of Missing Stars, as we believe that the continuation of the stories you enjoyed in Act One are more than worth it.

I'm sorry that I came across so harsh. I'm sure you're all doing the best you can. Speaking of volunteers, if there is a way I can help, please let me know.

I understand now that it's a shared frustration. I'm sure if you all had it go the ideal way, the game would be complete by now.

I have various mental illnesses and would be glad to give as much detail as need be as to what it is like to live with them, work through them, deal with medications, how they affect my relationships with others, etc. I was diagnosed at a younger age than the setting of Missing Stars, and was learning how to live as I am at a close age to your various characters.

all that is to say I have insight as to what it's like to be a late teenager coming to terms with a mental illness. I'm older now.

I'm not a digital artist, but I am a traditional one (acrylics, charcoal, coloured pencils, watercolor). Again, if there's anything I can do to help speed things along even a tiny bit, that would be a great honor.

Good luck!
