Well, for the second update, it's because of the amount of dialogues.
The second update will have almost 10x more words than the first version .
All the features planned for the update are done, just need to do some minor adjustments. But the dialogues are very time consuming, and there is only one person working on the project. And It's currently his exam season in his university, so he need to spend more time studying.
To complete the entire game, we need 2-3 years because we have planned 4 main arcs for main history, all of them with different choices, paths and consequences. 12 routes for every character that you can develop a relationship with, developing their history. Events like Christmas and Halloween, more features, and a fighting mechanic.
And there is more to be done to the game. All we need is time to make all the ideas to fit perfectly.
