This is an interesting bug that I was unable to reproduce. Are you using a 32-bit or 64-bit version?

Are there any other details you can provide about your machine? Does it happen every time or is it a flaky thing

If you play web version on itch io, does it happen as well?

64-bit

Specs, Windows 10 Pro, RAM 4.0GB

This bug is very flaky

Luckily, I managed to reproduce the bug again after reading this, select classic mode, set game speed to x2, toggle on "fog of war", then I got black screen on the map.

Tried this again, sometimes this bug is triggered, sometimes it doesn't

Took a screenshot, right before the blackscreen bug happened again.

Weirdly enough,

Sometimes toggle on Fog of war also causing the map of the title screen to go full black.

Let’s do another test, shall we? :) If you choose the smallest world size, does it change anything?
