What a pleasure to play, this avoid all the usual jam-platformers pitfalls. It's readable, quick, snappy, really nicely done. Not losing as soon as you fail a jump and having so much ways to get yourself back up is such a neat idea.

I really liked your spritework and how cleanly it's integrated into the game. It's so easy to mess it up at those scales. Especially love your take on Janus both in art and dialogue, would have loved to see Gabriel in a similar style.

On the more negative side I think the scrolling in the last level is a bit too slow. I was regularly forced to hug the right side of the scree because my plaftorms would crumble before I could reach any new ones. I suppose this was done for difficulty reasons but it ended up having the opposite effect since I couldn't as reliably dodge ennemies and prepare my jumps. It was still managable however, really nice ending screen.

Excellent entry, the variety of builds and the tightness of the controls really set it appart.

Oh gosh, thank you so much for playing our game and leaving this lovely comment! Your kind words are so vindicating of our efforts, it's super appreciated.

You are also the first that seems to have recognized some of the mythology we used, which is so cool!

Based on your experience with the last level it seems you might have not realized that platforms only crumble when you break contact with them, so you could use them for longer without needing to rush forward.

In any case, your review is super appreciated!! I'm glad you enjoyed our project as much as you did <3

Oh that's a game changer, I've been leaving platforms as soon as I landed on them for the entire game. Thanks for clarifying
