By the time you're in Redwood Forest, I think the gift option is disabled (I think this is the point where it's too late). If you happen to have a save file before you help Scar infiltrate Northcrest (He's still in Fishing Village), I think if you gift Scar a home-made dinner, Tank will also join the meal and you can get likes from him through Scar.
i mean i DO have a save file just before leaving to do the quest but uhh
I have ALOT of progress done already like 150+ DAs of work so I either remove all of that progress just for tank OR possibly wait for there to be a option to make heart point unless hyao makes it so you can never get any like points with him

Wait or reset a lot of progress
I suggest you still keep your save file with most of the progress. I know it feels terrible to lose everything after you've worked so hard for it.
However, if you have a lot of time and very curious, you can make a second separate "main save" by continuing before the infiltration, gifting Scar lots of home-made dinners (make sure you include Tank and give your portion of the food if he asks for seconds). After spoiling them with food, you can now continue on infiltrating the mansion until Redwood Forest is unlocked and progress from there. See how much you'll like this second save file.

I honestly think they’re going to make it possible to gain likes for him in Redwood Camp in the future, I just think it’ll take several months of waiting. The game has a lot of wip that needs attention at the moment… in my case, I’m waiting for them to make it so that you can unlock Caleb without romancing Bernard.
