The gameplay is usually really hard to get right, specially in game jams with limited resources and time, but you've managed to make a very solid base for what could become a new platformer in the future, good job! 😁
I would recommend having more UI elements to make it more polished, reloading the scene works, but adding a little UI when you die is a nice little detail that is missed when it's not there 😊
