There is a dance-like quality to your track that certainly puts me in the Christmas spirit, particularly with the bounciness of the tuba in the bass and the intermittent echoey bell arpeggios. I think your sense of harmony is great- I really enjoyed the chord progression which is led by the bass but filled out by the rest of the strings nicely. The melody is nice, though it does seem to get a little repetitive, which has the potential to turn into feeling stale. I see that you only used 3 hours to write this (which is impressive to finish something with such a tight deadline!) and I think if you were able to use more time, having a B section with an alternate melody would help round out the song and help it feel more dynamic/less stale. I do appreciate the variation that you put into the different versions of the main loop. When thinking about the jam theme, I can picture Santa, but to me he doesn’t seem to be in too much of a hurry. I’m thinking this would fit very nicely if Santa were taking a leisurely stroll through the North Pole. I wonder if increasing the tempo or using a little more tension in your chord progression would help change that feel? Overall, I enjoyed listening to this - great work and thank you for sharing!
