neat little game! it took me a second to understand that i was supposed to come into contact with the enemies in walk mode, not avoid them, but i figured it out. the gameplay loop itself is pretty nice, i like being able to read the enemies’ attacks to figure out when to dodge. there was one weird instance i ran into (just before the boss fight) where an enemy would have basically no buildup animation before attacking, making it a lot more difficult, but luckily i made it past. maybe, if you keep working on this, you could give enemies more varied techniques? it felt a little repetitive using the same exact strategy on every enemy. pretty cool all around though! i also really liked the effect on the battle backgrounds. glad you were able to submit!
