I hope your year gets better Jonesy. I appreciate the work you put in. Unfortunately I have no idea how hard it is since I have no clue on how to develop games. Where does a guy learn that? I have a shit ton of stories. lol.  Anyhoo. Here's to a better 2024! Thanks again!

Thanks! I'm glad you're liking everything so far.

As far as learning game development goes? This is it. This is me learning. If you look back at "Christmas Eve", you'll notice a pretty big difference in image quality, coding, animations, and writing as opposed to NYD. I have always enjoyed reading and I have a knack for telling stories. I also love video games.

I was a CAD design engineer in a past life, so I applied some of those skills to working with DAZ Studio to create the images. The rest has been a series of trial and error, forums, videos and this and other communities giving me advice on how to write Ren'Py code, make better images, etc.

It's been hard work, but I also find it fun. If you're interested in trying it out, download DAZ and Ren'Py (both are free), and I'll give you what advice I can.

I really appreciate the info. I will definitely give it a go as I have a lot of experience with CAD as well (Structural and Architectural Engineer in my current life). Thank you again. It's not every day that creators share info as so many are on Patreon selling wait time. I definitely noticed a difference in the two games as far as quality but "Christmas Eve" still looked really good.  I look forward to the progress of this and I hope that you continue making content and writing stories. Happy New Year's! (Eve) lol
