these are my device specs but the animated cutscenes lag heavily, I'm not amazing with tech so from this end, is it my laptop that's the problem?

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHz   2.59 GHz

Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.8 GB usable)

Product ID 00330-80000-00000-AA678

System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Pen and touch No pen or touch input is available for this display

Hello! I'm sorry to hear that. These are the recommended specs:

RECOMMENDED SPECS:

  • GTX 750 /AMD 6870 or Better
  • i3 12100F / Ryzen 5 5600 or better
  • 4GB of Ram or better
  • SSD (Optional but good for quick loading)

These can be found at the game description if you need them.

It seems, your processor is 30% slower than recommended. I do not know what graphics processor you are using, but that could also be a contributor.

then what about an option for still image scenes for lower end devices, everything else is fine, just the laggy scenes

That could work!. Please check the animation at The Void's tavern storage, (Void Octopus) It will have a scene if you don't kill it straight away. The scene is image based, and in battle, with no real requirements to access it. If it runs well on your system,  please let me know, and I'll do something similar for other scenes. I can't promise it will be available in the next update, as it requires to go through every single battle sex animation, but I can totally add the option in. <3

I just wanted to say that i have been having very similar lag issues but the Void Octopus scene does run perfectly.

That sounds fantastic! I'll see how to make a picture based version for fully animated scenes, or something similar, for slower systems.
