that explain why phil is always transformed in my game, but i think you can force it escaping from the battle when someone is defeated, because i escaped and that happened

Yeah i just had the same issue, no idea what triggers it, but I got Protagonist, C. 1 and C. 2 all stuck in the merged form (although C. 2 didn't have his transformed sprite, he had the attacks) not sure if u can get C. 4 stuck... (The method i used consisted in fighting Pink Demon in the training room and then transforming -> Losing)
