Purchased it once, but they also have a Subscribestar, so.... yeah.
Exactly the point of my first message.
Let me put this another way; I have made the purchase of this game and supported the team due to believing in its potential. However, I am unsatisfied with the way that development has gone and am now withdrawing my continued support out of disappointment. If someone else wants to come in and give praise to you after this and say that I'm terrible, that's fine, but it doesn't change the basis of my message or make me inherently wrong. The entire point of this message and the first is to say that I am attempting to share my single vote of no-confidence in the way that this game has been managed by withdrawing my continued support of your continued operations.
Thank you, I can respect your willingness to listen to a single voice speaking out like this.
I am not a game developer, and I fully admit to not understanding all of the oddities that developing a game like this entails, but my issue is that it feels like we've been given a copy of the classic Super Mario Brothers, so we complete the first level, and then go back to 1-1 instead of progressing to a new level but with new graphics or some other tweak. It's been like this multiple times now, and it's gotten a bit tedious, as we haven't even gotten incremental progression in the game's actual gameplay and scenes, instead losing more and more content with each new update.
On that note, I will definitely admit that there is more character and polish in the current update for the most part, and while I could complain about different aspects that I find a bit annoying, I can easily chalk those up to the game being in the early stages of this iteration. However, I can't get too excited for these updates when I fully expect to see small changes for the next 6-8 months, followed by yet another re-build that sets us back to where we are now, if not farther behind. I'm all for being patient, but that patience has not been rewarded.
Note that this comes from a fan who actually purchased the game instead of simply pirating it, and has actively supported your subscribestar; I am very much interested in this game, and can see the potential. So on that note, I do hope that things are able to finally progress at some point, and that you'll be able to polish the game into something very much note-worthy as it nears completion in the future.
Again; thank you for your time and willingness to consider the thoughts of a fan.
