If you actually read the post, it says "The problem... is that by making the inventory work all the previous saves have been broken, and I have not found a way to fix that. To avoid the need to start again (because I understand that it can be very tiresome) I am going to include a save in this post. " which means the previous saves from previous versions of the game doesn't work anymore.
