having people pay for every subsequent update is scummy as hell. I've never seen anyone do this. not even EA pulls this shit. after you reach your goal anyone who's played ever major update ends up paying over $90 for a "trust me bro". this may NEVER get finished.

that for pay for employee because of their team. example budget for 3d artist, programmer, etc. don't be narrow mind :/ even it's high quality will encounter new bug.

I have to support Astralfox100 on this. Making people pay for each major update is very fishy and leans more to a scam and in fact I have even asked around and I was told that this is a form of NFT's which we all know how that turned out.

Plus as stated the finished product would be around $90 which is much more then major mainstream games which highest is $80 which includes/ or later comes with planed DLC, extra items/weapons/cosmetics, art books, and other items you would normally not get with the base game.

It's not narrow minded to state your thoughts or concerns or ask questions related to the game. With how many games that turned out to be scams these days it don't hurt to be cautious.

Salary: Game Programmer in United States 2024 | Glassdoor

No Salaries for 3D Artist | Glassdoor

The work being done by an actual game programmer in a salaried position is very different to making these indie visual novel porn games lol. The work and expectations are a completely different level

They are developing NFT's too? Wait what? really?

no they don't but most of the international salaries are for game programmers and 3d artists, for example completing bug tasks or everything related to the game, it's related to skill issues. if lazy developers mostly don't update the game until it's finished, then there will be vigilance.

tbh yeah i was gonna buy the game until they said we have to pay for EACH update for me this would be the only game that ever does that, and to take into account they get money from patreon monthly too....so idky everyone has to continue paying for updates its iffy but meh

I don't know where did you get the $90 number. the price for the early access version will be around $20, the full version - $40.
I understand that not everyone is able/willing to pay for versions separately. but you don't have to! if you don't like the idea of paying for each update - JUST WAIT for the EA or full release and pay once.
at this moment of development, we can not put the game on lifetime ownership, but we will on the release of v0.9

I 100% agree, but at the same time, this is a pretty ambitious game for a AAA studio. The fact that its being made by (from what I gather) an very small company is going to come with some caveats. Furthermore, itch isn't where people go to pick up the next fifa for 60$, its meant to help small game developers acquire funding.

As for whether or not the game ever gets "finished", the steam release *should* be a one time payment, and steam generally attracts a lot more traffic (thus sales). It really just depends on if SRT can make it to the steam release without going belly up.

Given Deluded/SRT's current situation, Im gonna go as far as to say that the "it wont make it" mentality could prove to be something of a self fulfilling prophecy. I don't think their current pricing is worth it in of itself, but if you like this game as much as I do, pay it anyway. Your not buying their demo, your investing in this games future. SRT might wanna consider having some sort of early access only content (probably cosmetic) as this sort of thing has been the death of many games. With that being said, I honestly think they'll make it. The graphics combined with a wet dream of a game (cosmetics, stats, open world...) AND a genuinely enticing story is too good to pass up.

TL;DR this game is worth shoveling money into.

I hope it's not like that. I'd rather pay a fixed $50 - $70 than for every patch :/. I think this game has a lot of potential and money to be made, and not only that; Imagine the many other games they could work on after polishing their brand in the future. Kind of like Remtairy and OneOne has done. I'm crossing my fingers for this one.
