This rule was mainly added to easily remove (without a doubt) all the spam that arrives during the jam. We have no problem making an exception if, as in your case, it is requested in advance and the reason is justified. So yes, no problem if you simply make an update.
If (by mistake) we remove your submission during the jam, please let us know.
